About Royal Aberdeen Golf Club

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, was founded in 1780 as the Society of Golfers at Aberdeen and became the Aberdeen Golf Club in 1815. Until 1888 members played on the Queen's Links close to the city before moving across the River Don to the links at Balgownie. The Course was originally designed by the Simpson Brothers, Archie and Robert of Carnoustie and later re-bunkered and lengthened by James Braid. Hawtree & Company are now engaged as the Club's architects to ensure our classic links keeps pace with the modern game.

About Cruden Bay Golf Club

A stunning links course, it has been recently placed as the 50th best course in Britain and Ireland by "Golf World". Initially laid out by Tom Morris in the 19th century, it was revised by Archie Simpson into the layout it is today and is very much a traditional links with humps, hollows and numerous blind shots. Offering spectacular views of Slains Castle, it is a picturesque and challenging test of golf.

About Trump International Aberdeen

Trump International Golf Links is a stunning 18-hole championship classical Scottish links course in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire and just north of Aberdeen. This beautiful course is a par of 72 and a maximum length of just over 7400 yards and provides a serious yet extremely enjoyable test to any golfer including those with a low handicap. Trump International follows the traditional pattern of two out-and-back looks of nine holes and all 18 thread their way enchantingly through the dunes, rising to find views of the sea and coastline, plunging into secluded valleys, and offering a sequence of excellent landscape, panoramic views and wildlife habitats surrounding the golf holes.

Rules and Information

Golf Format:

The event is played as a four-ball better ball format off 85% of your official handicap using stableford scoring under the rules of golf, and following WHS guidance.

As in any stroke play competition scoring putts must be holed, there is no such thing as a gimme in stroke play competition where you are playing against a field.

Handicap Certificates:

All handicaps will be checked online. Please have a certificate or Golf App available on your phone to show the team.  You may wish to have a certificate on your phone available in case of issues as WHS is not always perfect.

Prizes:

Prizes will be sent out after the event either by email for vouchers or by post.  There will be no prizes handed out on the day or any prize giving.

Golf Carts:

We permit the use of golf carts for medical reasons only.  We accept self certification.  Please arrange directly with the club.
