Casual Play

Raccoon Creek Golf Course reserves 2 foursomes for RCMC members on Friday afternoons and 3 foursomes on Sunday morning.  This is strictly a courtesy accommodation to the club as a result of our relationship with the course.  The Friday tee times will most often be in the early 1 o’clock hour, but that is not a guarantee.  The Sunday morning tee times are generally early in the first part of the season, around 9 o’clock, but tend to migrate a bit later as the season moves closer to fall.   This year all invites for casual play will include the tee times in the invite.  That way you will know what you are signing up for.  Casual Play also includes cash games.  This year we will have low net and skins for each casual play session.   Each Player will contribute $20 to the prize pool.  Your prize pool contribution will be collected by a designated person on the date of casual play.  You must be present at the end of the day to collect any winnings.  The Board has decided for 2023 all casual play rounds must be scored in the Golf Genius or Raccoon Creek App.  From these scores, the club will post these scores to GHIN.

InterClub

RCMC is considering entering a team into the CGA Team Interclub matches in 2023.  Interclub is where teams from Colorado golf men's clubs compete against each other in a season-long tournament.  Many of the men's clubs similar to RCMC in our area field an Interclub team.

The format consists of a local round-robin phase of three matches.  One each in May, June and July followed by a 16-team statewide knockout bracket starting in August. Matches involve teams of eight players, four of whom play at the home course and four at the opponent's course, simultaneously..

A player's handicap is the low index (LI) for the previous 12 months.  A player must have a LI of less than 20 to be eligible.  Members of multiple men's clubs can compete for only one club in Interclub play in a given season.
