D-8) MUNSTER UNDER-15 & UNDER-17 BOYS’ AMATEUR CLOSE CHAMPIONSHIP

a) Age Group Boys Under-15 and Under-17 as set out in Section A of the General Regulations
b) Gender Male
c) Handicap No restrictions on entry
d) Eligibility A member of a Munster Club affiliated to Golf Ireland. The Munster Club must be the 
entrant’s home club (for handicapping purposes).
*A player cannot enter both Munster Boys’ Under 15 and Munster Boys’ U17 Amateur 
Close Championships as they are separate Championships held on the same day. 
e) Size of Field 75 for each championship
f) Ballot • Limited to the lowest 75 entrants in order of Handicap Index. In the event 
of oversubscription, a waiting list will be drawn up and decided on ballot. If 
withdrawals occur before 5pm on the day prior to the competition, entrants 
on this waiting list will be given the opportunity of competing. 
• At 5pm on the day prior to the Championship, a Standby List of those who 
have entered but did not make the handicap cut off point will be established 
on a first-come, first-serve basis of entrants who have registered at the Venue. 
Should withdrawals occur after this time, players on this list will be allocated a 
place in the field in order of registration, irrespective of handicap or age. 
• At the Championship Committee’s discretion, up to 5 entrants may be invited 
to play who may not have qualified under handicap cut off point but who must 
have entered the championship within one shot of the cut off at close of entry.
