Anti-Doping |
You are strongly urged to read the Sport Ireland Anti-Doping Wallet Card. If you are on medication it is your responsibility to ask your G.P. to check MIMS to see if you are required to complete a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) form.

Buggies |
Motorized transportation is not permitted in any Golf Ireland Championships, except in the case of a genuine disability as defined under the statutes applicable in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Where permission to use, a buggy is granted to a competitor, it is the competitor’s responsibility to procure the use of the buggy. Clubhouse Opening |
Clubhouse shall open 45 minutes before play commences on Tournament Day(s)

Draw |
The Draw for the Championship will be published seven days before it is due to commence. Anyone who is included in the Starting List will be included in the Championship Draw accordingly. Those on the Waiting List shall remain there until they are moved into the Start field by the Regional Office. NOTE: Please refer to Golf Ireland’s specific Withdrawals Policy – HERE. In order to facilitate the travel plans of competitors, the Championships Department will endeavour, insofar as is possible, to facilitate any reasonable requests regarding the time of starting (such requests should be emailed to connacht@golfireland.ie).

Dress Code |
Smart casual dress is essential. It must be clean, neat, and tidy and in keeping with the high standards of the Club. Any type of footwear worn on the course is not acceptable in the Clubhouse. |

Local Rules |
Please note that Golf Ireland’s Hard Card along with additional local rules published on site will apply for the event, these are located in the Players’ Lounge section on the event webpage, they will not be provided in hardcopy at the event in keeping with Golf Ireland’s sustainability goals for 2023.

Photography/ Videography |
It is usual for photographs and video footage to be taken during Championships and these may be used in the promotion of the game. However, we would ask you to bear in mind that you have the right to refuse the use of your image and that you can report any concerns you have to the Competition Director. Those intending to take photographs at the Championship will be asked to register with the Competition Director.

Pace of Play |
It is essential that all familiarize themselves with the pace of play procedures prescribed by Golf Ireland Regulations.
The Championship Committee encourages players to play “Ready Golf” in all Stroke Play rounds. Simply put, "ready golf" means that each golfer within a group hit when ready – provided it is safe to do so.

Practice Facilities |

Practice Round |
During practice, players must not play more than one ball from tee to green. Official Practice Day –Friday 2nd June from 1300hrs-1600hrs, please ring Loughrea GC directly to arrange same. Please note that entry into the championship confers no other rights to access the facilities of Loughrea GC, except on terms provided by the Club and in this instance by prior arrangement. Any entrant attempting to access the facilities without prior permission of the club will have their entry from the championship withdrawn without a refund. |

Prizes |
The Presentation of Prizes will take place approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of play.
|
|
Registration |
All competitors will be sent a link to register for the championship via the Golf Genius tournament management system approximately three days beforehand. All competitors must register by clicking the link to confirm their participation. Failure to do so may result in your starting place being offered to a reserve.

Scoring |
Players shall be issued with Physical Scorecards. Mobile Phone Scoring shall not be in use, so only end of play scores shall be available online for those watching online.

|
Suspension of Play / Course Evacuation |
Suspension of play will be signalled by ONE blast on the klaxon.
When play is suspended due to potential or actual thunder/lightning storm, everybody should proceed immediately to the nearest wooden shelter or the clubhouse if nearer. Metallic shelters should not be used. The following safety measures should also be adhered to:-
Resumption of play will be given by two blasts of the klaxon. No competitor may resume play until this signal is given. Penalty for breach of Rule – disqualification. Competitors will be duly notified about resumption of play, and they will be given sufficient time to arrive at the point of resumption before the signal to restart is given.

Ties |
In the event of a tie for the Championship, Sudden Death Playoff on Holes, 1,2,3,4, & 15, repeat sequence if required. |
