12TH Carolinas Girls 15 & Under Championship

Country Club of Whispering Pines (Pines)

Whispering Pines, NC

July (8) 9-10, 2018

The Carolinas Girls 15 & Under Championship began in 2007 and introduces tournament play to less experienced junior girl golfers. The event schedule is designed to introduce HOW to compete in a junior girls' event with lots of help along the way. The event schedule includes a rules meeting where players will learn about basic Rules of Golf in a fun atmosphere, many social functions to meet other junior girls and a panel of college players where participants and parents are encouraged to ask current college girls about their experiences in junior golf. Players may choose to play either 9 or 18 holes, based on their comfort level and skill level. Many Rules officials will be available to help players learn how to navigate the golf course and apply their basic Rules knowledge on the course. The tournament also has a competitive Championship Division that crowns the best 15 & under junior girl in the field. The championship is conducted at 36 holes of stroke play competition for the Junior and Championship divisions and 18 holes of stroke play competition (9 holes each day) for the Sub-Junior division. Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has not reached her 16th birthday by July 10, 2018, who has not started college, and maintains a residence in North Carolina or South Carolina. Membership to the Carolinas Golf Association IS NOT required.
