TEE TIME:  There is no registration of check-in prior to the round. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter. For the second round, the 12-and-Under divisions will start on Hole #10 with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. In the event of drops prior to the first round, the GAM reserves the right to slightly alter tee times.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (517) 355-1635.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Junior Stroke Play contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4-3, for which the penalty is the GENERAL PENALTY for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the round.

GAM DRESS CODE:  Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players are expected to adhere to the dress code.

FOOD:  There is a complimentary luncheon for players on the second day of the tournament. The snack shop will also have food available for purchase.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants must carry their own bag, caddies are not permitted.  Push carts may be used.  Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart.

PRACTICE RANGE:  Players will have complimentary practice range privileges on the days of the competition, prior to play only.  The driving range will open 60 minutes before the first tee time. 

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a sudden-victory playoff for the Champion in all Divisions.  

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.org. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
