All fees must be paid by Friday AM prior to the event.
If they are not paid there is a $10 late fee.
We typically have optional cash side pools on the day of the event.
GUESTS INVITED TO THIS TOURNAMENT
Guest program - Each member may invite a total of 3 guests for the season.
A guest may play no more than 2 PBGA tournaments (Dutra not included).
The guest fee is higher in order to contribute to the prize pool dues allotment. The team cost is $80 with a guest.

White tee’s are default - See below for changes
Teams cannot play Blue - Gold tee box
You may play Gold - White or Blue-White
if you qualify
There are many facets of the game that contribute to one’s score including distance, course management, iron play, chipping and putting. As much as we would like a black and white and fair criteria to dictate the tees that players can play in association events, we have struggled to find one. All players are different and we have established the following criteria for 2023:
GOLD TEE
You may play if you fall under any of these 2 qualifications
- 60 years old and index of 14.5+
- Or, Index below 14.5 with an average 5 iron distance of 155 yards or below with officer approval (USGA guidance based on gold distance)
BLUE TEE
- Open to all members that have not moved from default tees to gold in another event. If you needed to move up, you can no longer move back. GWB events not included.
- Our preference is players stay at tournament tee's. If you want to move, we suggest only players with an index of 14.7 or below to target bogey or better play.
HANDICAP
33% of combined team Handicap calculated from tee box played.
This also determines team flight
The maximum individual handicap for this event is 30. PBGA uses the World Handicap System. WHS requires full precision to be maintained in intermediary calculations. Rounding is performed only once and as the last step.
Members without a handicap will be assigned by the committee.

EXAMPLE
Handicap for Player 1 is index is 15.7.
From the White tee, the slope is 125, the rating is 70.2 and the par is 72.
Course Handicap is calculated as index X slope / 113 = 15.7 X 125 / 113 = 17.367.
The CR - P adjustment of 70.2 - 72 = -1.8 is applied.
The resulting Course Handicap of PLAYER 1 is 15.567.
Handicap for Player 2 is index is 8.7.
From the White tee, the slope is 125, the rating is 70.2 and the par is 72.
Course Handicap is calculated as index X slope / 113 = 8.7 X 125 / 113 = 9.623.
The CR - P adjustment of 70.2 - 72 = -1.8 is applied.
The resulting Course Handicap of PLAYER 2 is 7.823.
PLAYER 1 + PLAYER 2 combined Playing Handicap, 15.567 + 7.823 = 23.39.
Team is calculated as 33% of combined individual Course Handicaps.
(15.567 + 7.823 = 23.39 X .33) = 7.718
