Entry & Eligibility Information
Entries Open: Friday, June 30, 2023 at 09:00 AM
Entries Close: Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 04:00 PM
Entry Fee: $160 (includes golf, cart, and range balls)
Eligibility: This tournament is open to female amateur golfers who are members of member clubs of the MSGA. Both players must have reached their 18th birthday by midnight of the first day of play. Difference in handicap index of partners shall not exceed 10.0. Team members do NOT have to belong to the same club.
Divisions:
Two-Woman Division (Championship/Gross): Players must have a maximum combined handicap index of 30.0 or less by September 20th.
Mid. Two-Woman Division (Net): Players must have a handicap index no higher than 36.0 by September 20th.
Refund Policy: A withdrawal prior to seven (7) days of the event will receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee. Medical refunds - There will not be a refund if a withdrawal is received less than seven days prior to the event without written medical excuse. Medical refunds will also be subject to a $25 processing fee.
Championship Information
Format/Field Size: The tournament will be an 18-hole four-ball stroke play competition in divisions according to handicap. The handicap index used to determine the divisions for this competition will be September 20, 2023.
Handicap: All handicap's will be updated as of September 20th, 2023.
Tee Times: The MSGA shall assign pairings and starting times. Starting times and pairings will be available 5 days prior to the event and will be sent to participants via email.
Prizes:
Two-Woman (Championship): The Overall Champions will be the low gross winners of the Two-Woman Division and will have their names engraved on the permanent trophy. Trophies will be awarded to the Overall Champion and Runner-up, and pro-shop credit will be awarded to the winners and runner-ups in each flight. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole play-off will follow immediately upon the completion of play. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by a match of cards according to the USGA recommended method.
Mid. Two-Woman (Net): The winners will be the low gross score of the field and will have their names engraved on the permanent trophy. Trophies will be awarded to the low gross and and runner-up. Pro-shop credit will be awarded to the top net team, the number of places being determined by the size of the field. In the event of a tie for the winners, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately upon completion of play. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by a match of cards according to the USGA recommended method.
Rules: USGA Rules govern all play. Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA or host club at any time, including during the competition. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct, such as violation of host club policies, or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system.
