BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the CCMGA Board of Directors to provide each of its members with the best possible golfing experience and to promote and encourage a common appreciation for the game of golf, including its values, rules, and traditions.

In carrying out its mission, the Board's goals are:

  • To have an organization that promotes a fun, enjoyable, and competitive golfing experience which will encourage the retention of, and addition of, new members on an annual basis.
  • To plan, schedule and oversee CCMGA tournaments throughout the year. A variety of formats will provide an opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to compete, win prizes, and socialize with other members.
  • To provide each member with a USGA handicap through the Colorado Golf Association.
  • To provide oversight of members' handicaps, and to ensure that members record all of their scores so the playing field is as level as possible. The golf handicap system has always relied on the integrity of the individual golfer and it is each member's responsibility to record his individual scores accurately and promptly, whenever, and wherever, he may play.  CCMGA tournament scores, and Tuesday Night League scores, will be recorded by the CCMGA.
  • To promote the true spirit of the game of golf by encouraging proper etiquette and strict enforcement of the rules of the game as defined by the USGA, and the local rules in effect, if and as adopted by the CCMGA.
  • To ensure that all members are in compliance with the CCMGA Code of Conduct, and to enforce its provisions.
  • To maintain a liaison with the Head Professional and staff at the Coal Creek Golf Course.
  • To maintain a liaison with the Colorado Golf Association.
  • To monitor the condition of the golf course, and recommend changes or improvements to the course superintendent and head professional.
  • To maintain a liaison with the City of Louisville Parks and Recreation Department on matters related to the betterment of the Coal Creek Golf Course.
  • To motivate members to participate in the affairs of the CCMGA through committee membership and board service.
  • To regularly communicate association activities to all members via the Golf Genius application and e-mail.
  • To encourage feedback from all members. Comments, written or oral, may be addressed to any board member.
