INFORMATION

 

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday-Tuesday, August 7-8, 2023. The first round will be tee times off #1 and #10 starting at 9 a.m. The second round will be a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability of practice rounds - (616) 212-2600. Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM Senior Four-Ball Championship contestants. Rates and availability are at the discretion of the host facility.

 

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: DMD's that measure distance only are allowed in this competition. If a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

FOOD: There will be a complimentary lunch provided on both days of the competition. Other food and beverage will also be available for purchase.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for this Championship and is included in your entry fee. Caddies are NOT permitted for this championship. Carts are not permitted for spectators.  

 

PRACTICE RANGE: Range opens one hour prior the first tee time/shotgun start and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. In the event of a shotgun start, we ask that players be mindful of others and make sure everyone has an opportunity to practice prior to the round.

 

PLAYOFF: A tie for the Championship only will be determined by a sudden-death playoff.  Ties for runner-up will be broken by scorecard playoff.

 

PRIZES: Prizes will give given to the Champion and Runner-Up in each division.

 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you need to withdraw prior to the entry deadline, you may do so through the Golf Genius event portal. If you must withdraw after the entry deadline, please email the GAM at tournaments@gam.org. Please review the GAM Withdrawal/Refund Policy.
