Traditionally one of the most popular GAM tournaments, the 37th GAM Senior Championship will be held at Orchard Lake CC.

 

Who: Entries are open to amateur golfers who: (1) have an up-to-date WHS Handicap Index at time of entry not exceeding 7.4, (2) are individual members of the GAM at the time entries close, and (3) will have reached their 55th birthday before September 11, 2023.  

 

When: Monday, September 11, 2023 - Tuesday, September 12, 2023

 

Where: Orchard Lake CC

 

Format: 36-Hole Stroke-Play Competition. This is a Gross tournament. 

 

Registration Opens: Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM

 

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:59 PM

 

Entry Fee: $200

 

Exempt Registration: Eligible players that meet the following criteria will be able to register for this Championship starting on March 29. Their spot is no longer guaranteed after registration opens to all eligible players on April 12. All other eligibility criteria (i.e., age and index) apply.

- Top 5 and ties in Super Sr. Division in 2022 GAM Senior: David Schultz, Ed Borio, Fritz Reifert, Garry Ogilvie, Dan Longeway

- Senior and Super Sr. Division Champions previous 3 GAM Senior Championships (not otherwise exempt): Rick Herpich, Gregg Bonamici 

- Top 5 on 2022 GAM Senior Men’s Player of the Year points (not otherwise exempt): Mitch Wilson, Michael Zoerhoff, Randy Lewis

- Reigning GAM Super Senior Player of the Year: Randy Lewis

- Top 10 in 2022 Michigan Senior Open (Overall Division, not otherwise exempt): Greg Zeller, Greg Davies
