TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, May 22

 

Morning Round – Four-Ball - SHOTGUN START, 8:30 a.m.

 

Afternoon Round – Alternate Shot – SHOTGUN START, approximately 2 p.m.

PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (734) 662-2582.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM contestants.

 

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

FOOD:  A lunch for players only will be served at the club between the two rounds. For additional purchases, please note that Travis Pointe DOES NOT take cash.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: Automotive transportation is mandatory for this Championship and is included in your entry fee. Caddies are NOT permitted for this championship. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. Requests and doctor’s notes can be submitted to tournaments@gam.org and doctor’s notes can also be faxed to (248) 478-5536 attn: GAM Tournament Dept.

 

PRACTICE RANGE: Range opens one hour prior to the Morning and Afternoon Shotgun starts and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only.

 

PLAYOFF: A tie for Medalist and/or the final qualifying spot will be determined by a sudden-death playoff if time and the facility allow.  If a sudden-death playoff cannot take place, ties will be broken by scorecard playoff using the USGA Tiebreaker Method. 

 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
