THURSDAY NIGHT DIVAS AND DIVOTS

Members and non-members are welcome at our weekly fun Thursday-Night-After-Work league. It’s an evening filled with fun and camaraderie for players of all skill levels. The season starts on May 1st and will run until September 11th. 

 

FORMAT Play your own ball. Play is from the Red/Yellow tee boxes, but you may choose to play the Forward Tees.  Forward Tee players and players without handicaps are very welcome to play but will only be eligible for the Longest Putt prizes.

 

SIGNUP  You will receive a Golf Genius invitation to which you will reply “playing” or “not playing”’.  Replying “playing” to the invite will help to secure you a spot for the upcoming week. When you reply “playing” you will receive a confirmation.  The confirmation will give you a chance to reply to the organizers if you want to request certain playing partners.

 

Important:  All players must reply to the invitation individually OR use the drop down box in your confirmation email for us to get an accurate count. The cut off for attendance is 60, after which there is a waiting list.  If you are bringing guests that did not get an invitation, you must inform the organizers immediately.

 

Walk-ups to play are allowed, but there is no guarantee to play if the field is registered full.  However, sometimes golfers don’t show up, so there is a chance that you could  play. Give your email address at check-in to be added to the mailing list.  

 

Power carts are not part of the signup and should be booked with the Pro Shop.

 

CHECK-IN  On the patio from 4:45 pm until 5:15 pm. The organizers will call the starting hole numbers at 5:25 pm.

  

COST Non-members pay the special green-fee rate of $26 plus GST in the Pro Shop prior to check-in. Organizers will collect a $2 entry fee at check-in.

 

SIDE GAMES:

  • $2 Longest Putt (2 holes) Each winner receives a quarter of the pot with the rest going towards running the event.
  • $2 Flighted Snips Snip pots for handicaps 0-20, 21-30 and 31+.  The snip pot is carried over to the next week if all players in a pot snip each other out.
  • $1 Pot of Gold is a cumulative pot paid out when only one person playing that evening scores a 2 on any hole (Deuce Pot).
  • 50/50 Course Improvement Draw

 

DINING Dine in our Clubhouse Restaurant either before or after you play. Chef Catherine has meal specials just for us or you can order off the menu. If you’re eating after play, please order before you head out to play so that your food is ready when you get in.  Our league receives a 50¢ discount on all beverages.

 

SCORES/PRIZES Go to the scoring desk in the clubhouse to record your scores with the organizers if you think you’re in contention.  Prizes are given out the same evening. Low Gross/Low Net/Low Putts will each be awarded. Following announcing the optional games winners, there will be lots of door prizes, and the Course Improvement 50/50 draw.
