Practice Rounds: A practice round may be scheduled by calling the golf shop and identifying yourself as a player in the field. A fee of $25/player willl be charged whether a player walks or rides during the round (carts are only allowed in practice, not during the competition). Players should note that weekdays are best and most available. Weekends are very limited, and will exclude anything before 1:00pm.

Starting Times: Round 1 will begin at 7:30 am off both the first and tenth tee. The second round will begin at approximately 12:30 pm off both the first and tenth tee.
Withdrawals: Please advise the Mass Golf office immediately at (774) 430-9016 if you are unable to compete. Failure to advise the Mass Golf office may disqualify the player from future USGA competition. If there is a need to call the Mass Golf office after the close of business on Friday, July 13th, please call Kevin Eldridge at 774-430-9103 [leave a message] or via email at keldridge@massgolf.org.
Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 3 qualifying spots, 2 alternates
Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation will NOT be permitted. Pull/push carts will be permitted.
Caddies: Taconic GC has a limited number of caddies available for players to utilize for the qualifier. Players should contact the golf shop to reserve a caddie in advance. Players may also bring their own caddie for the practice round and/or qualifying rounds.
Golf Ball: The One-Ball Rule will be in effect. See Appendix I of the Rules of Golf.
Distance Devices: The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.
Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from the BLACK tees (approx. 6,800 yard; par 71).
Golf Shop and Practice Facilities: Open and available at 6:30am. Taconic GC does not have a driving range, the practice putting green and chipping area will be available.

Players should check in with the pro shop to purchase range balls ($4/small, $6/medium, $9/large)
Food & Beverage: Due to the limited available time in between round 1 and 2, Taconic GC will have a lunch buffet available for players, spectators, and caddies to purchase from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the grill room. The buffet will be $15 inclusive. Both cash and credit are accepted. The snack shop will also be open and available for players to purchase snacks, drinks, etc. starting at 10:00 am - both cash and credit are accepted at the snack shop..
Dress Code: Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the U.S. Amateur Championship application.
*Please also review the 2018 USGA Hard Card and other policies located under the tab labled "USGA Policies" prior to competion.
*There will be no regsitration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to recieve local rules, scorecard, etc. 10-15 minutes prior to your starting time.
