Practice Rounds: Players may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below. 

 

Availability:

  • Practice rounds are $35 walking/$50 riding per participant (WEEKDAYS ONLY). Call ahead and identify yourself as a participant to book a tee time. Practice rounds are available (subject to availability) on August 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 8th. 

Notes:

  • Tee times booked outside of the timeframes listed above will be subject to daily rates.
  • Competitors will be limited to one practice round and may be paired up with other competitors.
  • Please limit your practice round to one ball on each hole and be aware of your pace of play with surrounding groups.

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from WHITE tee yardage (Approx. 6,100 yards; par 72).

 

Starting Times: Play will begin at 7:00 AM off the 1st tee in foursomes. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 18 players and ties will advance to the Championship Proper at Fox Hopyard on September 11 - 12. Alternates will be assigned per the NEGA Alternate Policy. There will be no playoffs for qualifying or alternate spots. The number of qualifying spots is subject to change based on any withdrawals prior to the competition.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted during the qualifying round and is included in the entry fee. Please Note: Per the NEGA Policies & Procedures, no more than two carts will be permitted per starting time.

 

Caddies: Caddies and push carts are permitted. Caddies may ride in a golf cart if space permits, but no more than two carts will be permitted per starting time. 

 

Club Facilities: Open and available starting at 6:30 AM. Food & beverage will be available at the player's expense starting at 6:30am (cash or credit).

 

Practice Range: Open at 6:00 AM. 

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the NEGA Hard Card. It is the individual's player's responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition. 

 

Score Posting: All scores from individual stroke play events (qualifiers & championships) will be automatically posted to a player's Handicap Index by the NEGA Staff.
