2023 Rules

 

Format is individual point quota & 50% net skins (half shots are rounded down)

  • Your ball must be holed out on every hole UNLESS the shot is for triple bogey [gross] or higher
  • You may mark, lift, clean and place your ball 1 club length in your own fairway
  • Men will play the GREEN tee markers.  Ladies will play the AQUA markers. Handicaps will be adjusted in accordance with Section 3.5 of the USGA Handicap Manual.  This is the most equitable way to conduct any type of net event.
  • You may move large stones & leaves in bunkers. Please notify playing competitors when doing so.
  • Worn out areas around the cart path are considered extensions of the cart path.  You are permitted to take relief from them.
  • If the sum of your age & handicap index is greater than or equal to 70, you may play the WHITE tee markers.
  • Playing Handicap - For equity purposes, the Playing Handicap calculation determines the number of strokes each player gives or receives, to ensure that all players can enjoy a fair and equal game when playing with or competing against one another.  USGA Rules of Handicapping Rule 6.1 & 6.2.

 

Scoring:

 

To determine a player’s quota their course handicap is subtracted from 36.  For example, a player with a 10 handicap would need to make 26 points.

Double Eagle: 16 points

Eagle: 8 points

Birdies: 4 points

Par: 2 points

Bogey: 1 point

Double Bogey: 0 points

Triple Bogey or Higher: -1 point

 

It is necessary to make triple or higher a negative value.  If there is no penalty for a triple-a handicap of 37 could never finish worse than +1.  Thus, you must take triple if you make one-ESC will be applied to the score when it is posted.

 

Please turn your card in promptly upon the completion of your round.  Scores will be posted by the professional on duty that day.
