2023 Riverside 3-2-1 Tournament

Live Scoring and viewing throughout the tournament using the Golf Genius App.  Players can post scores throughout the round by using the Golf Genius App and view the Live Leaderboard in real time.    

 

To post your score throughout the tournament, follow the step below:

  • Download the Golf Genius App

  • Identify your groups GGID Code located on your scorecard

  • Open the Golf Genius App and enter the GGID Code

  • After each hole, enter the score then click Save Scores

  • Sign up deadline Wednesday July 29, 2023 by 12:00pm (noon) 

  • Entry Fee: 

    • $25 per player - if paid before July 29 at 12:00pm (noon)

    • $35 per player - players may sign up between July 29 at 12:01pm to July 31 at 12:00pm, if any spots remain available.  

  • Tee times - starting at 6:00am

  • 2 Divisions - Men’s Division and Women’s Division

  • Create your own 4 person team.   

  • Players must hold a Riverside Golf Course Membership. 

  • Only having a Ghin membership at Riverside does not qualify.  

  • Singles may sign up and we will try to add or form teams, we can not guarantee you will be paired in a team.    

     

 

 

RULES

  • Write down GROSS score only - Card must be turned in after your round - The scorecard will be the official score for the team.  

  • FORMAT:

    • 3 Scores on the Par 5’s

    • 2 Scores on the Par 4’s

    • 1 Scores on the Par 3’s

  • If a player picks up and records an X on a hole where the score is needed, the team will be disqualified from the tournament. 

    • Example: On the 10th hole, 3 of the 4 scores are required, if Player A and B do not finish the hole, that team would only have 2 recorded scores therefore the team would be disqualified.

  • If 3 players arrive from the group to play and no other players are available to fill in, a player will be drawn at random to use the score in that group.  The team with 3 players would not be allowed to be in the field of players to be chosen at random.   

  • If only 2 players arrive from the group to play and no other players are available to fill in, unfortunately that team will be unable to compete in the tournament. 

  • 1 club length in own fairway

  • Rake and place in all bunkers

  • Men Tees:  

    • Players ages 54 and under will play White Tees.

    • Players 55 and up will have the option to play either the White Tees or Blue Tees.  Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.  

    • Players must select which tee they will be playing at the time of signing up for the Tournament or Sweeps and can not be changed once the deadline has passed. 

  • Women’s Tees:

    • Players ages 54 and under will play Green Tees.

    • Players 55 and up will have the option to play either the Green Tees or Gold Tees.  Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.  

    • Players must select which tee they will be playing at the time of signing up for the Tournament or Sweeps and can not be changed once the deadline has passed. 

  • Pine needles at base of trees – NOT GUR (located in rule book under Definitions - Ground Under Repair.  Grass clipping, leaves any other material left on the course that are not intended to be removed are not ground under repair unless marked GUR)

  • Tree Roots - No relief.  Players may take an Unplayable Ball under Rule 19.  You can play and unplayable ball anywhere except o a Penalty Area 

  • Nesting Boxes – Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point.  Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area. 

  • No Play Zones (Environmental Sensitive Areas) – 

    • Mandatory drop for environmental areas with a 1 stroke penalty 

    • Entry into and/or playing from environmental reason - breach of rule 2 stroke penalty

  • 18th Hole – Flower bed behind green is part of the obstruction

    • Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point.  Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area. 

  • Ground Under Repair (GUR) marked with white paint

    • "Ground under repair" is any part of the course so marked by order of the Committee or so declared by its authorized representative. 

  • If in doubt, play 2 balls under rule 20.1c, inform other competitors which ball you want count 

  • Handicaps will be based on which tees players play   

  • USGA tiebreaker will be used if teams are tied for any of the top places

  • All players will adhere to the USGA, State and Local Rules

  • Payouts - payouts in credit book money, all entry fees collected will be paid out.  All entry fees collected per division will be paid out in that division
