$50 per player - if paid before August 28, 2023 by 12:00pm

$75 per player - players may sign up between August August 28, 2023 12:01pm to August 30, 2023 at 12:00pm, if any spots remain available

Must hold a Riverside Golf Course Membership.

Only having a Ghin membership at Riverside does not qualify.

Ghin Handicap is required - Must have an Active Ghin Membership at Riverside. A handicap of NH will not be acceptable to play in the event.

Handicaps are max at 36 for Men and 44 for Women

Sign Up Individually

This tournament is open to both Men and Women.
-
The number of players signed up for men and women must be divisible by 4. There can not be an odd number of men or women players. .
-
Men will play against men and women will play against women.
-

Due to the format of the Riverside Cup, sign ups need to be in multiple of 4’s for both Men and Women. In the event we receive an uneven number of teams we will try adding more teams to meet the number needing to form flights, if not, unfortunately we may need to cut players to meet the numbers. Players that would be cut will be based on date and time of sign up, last to sign up will be the first cut.

Men Players - If 22 players sign up, the first 20 players will be entered into the tournament.

Riverside will block the morning for the tournament on September 9-10. If you play in this event, you will not need to book a tee time. Tee times for both days will start at 7:00am and be selected at random.
RULES
Format

Men Tees:
-
Players ages 54 and under will play White Tees.
-
Players 55 and up will have the option to play either the White Tees or Blue Tees. Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.

Players must select which tee they will be playing at the time of signing up for the Tournament or Sweeps and can not be changed once the deadline has passed.

Women’s Tees:

Players ages 54 and under will play Green Tees.
-
Players 55 and up will have the option to play either the Green Tees or Gold Tees. Players' course handicap will reflect which tee they play, according to the USGA.

Matches & Teams will be selected by Captains using Handicaps

Friday Night Player Match Selection

Once selection is completed, an email will be sent to players of matches and tee times.

Saturday 18-hole 2 Person Scramble Match Play
-
35% A player 15% B player to determine team handicap

Sunday 18-hole 2 Person Best Ball Match Play
-
100% of individual handicap

Teams will earn points in Match Play as follows:
-
One net better ball of the two will be used.
-
All matches are worth 18 points.
-
Two points for every hole a team wins.
-
One point for every hole that is halved.
-
Pine needles at base of trees – NOT GUR (located in rule book under Definitions - Ground Under Repair. Grass clipping, leaves any other material left on the course that are not intended to be removed are not ground under repair unless marked GUR)

Tree Roots - No relief. Players may take an Unplayable Ball under Rule 19. You can play and unplayable ball anywhere except o a Penalty Area

Nesting Boxes – Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area.

No Play Zones (Environmental Sensitive Areas) –

Mandatory drop for environmental areas with a 1 stroke penalty
-
Entry into and/or playing from environmental reason - breach of rule 2 stroke penalty

18th Hole – Flower bed behind green is part of the obstruction

Free Relief - Nearest point of complete relief - one club length from the reference point. Relief must not be nearer the hole and in the general area.

Ground Under Repair (GUR) marked with white paint
-
"Ground under repair" is any part of the course so marked by order of the Committee or so declared by its authorized representative.

If in doubt, play 2 balls under rule 20.1c, inform other competitors which ball you want count

Handicaps will be based on which tees players have signed.
-
USGA tiebreaker will be used if teams are tied for any of the top places
-
Payouts - payouts in credit book money, all entry fees collected will be paid out.
