The 2024 Jr. Valentine Invitational

This year’s edition of the Jr. Valentine will consist of two rounds of medal play on Hermitage’s Sabot Golf Course. The field will feature 48 of the top junior golfers from across the Mid-Atlantic. Please see below for more details and registration information.

Championship Information
Entry Fee $275
Age Division 18U
Practice Round Available after 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, through Friday, April 12, 2024. Players must walk. The cost for the practice round is included. Please call the Pro Shop to schedule your practice round tee time. We appreciate your understanding in pairing single players up with others to help us ensure we are utilizing our tee times effectively.
Registration Check-in and registration, including receipt of player tee gifts, will be conducted in the Main Cart Plaza adjacent to the Pro Shop prior to round 1.
Schedule (tentative)
Saturday, April 13, 2024: Round 1 – Tee Times begin at 11:00 AM
- Snack Station: Fruit, PB&J, pimento cheese sandwiches, nabs, chips, and drinks will be available between the 9th and 10th holes.
- Speed Golf Competition: Following the completion of round 1, join your Saturday pairing to see how quickly your group can complete a hole.
- Drive Shack Night, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM: Bays will be reserved at Drive Shack (1647 Four Rings Dr, Richmond, VA 23233) for games and camaraderie.
Sunday, April 14, 2024: Round 2 – Tee Times begin at 8:00 AM
- Fruit station on the first tee.
- Cookout buffet following play: burgers, hot dogs, tossed salad, pasta salad, potato salad, cut fruit, and cookies.
- In the event of a tie for the Champion, there will be a sudden death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. Awards to follow.
Course Setup
Participants will play from the black tee markers. Estimated yardages for the event will be between [6,700 and 7,000 yards.]
Player Accommodations
Host Families- We are considering having a select group of Hermitage members open their homes to participants. For those players traveling together from out of town, this is a great opportunity to be close to the club at no additional cost to the player.
