Format:
One18 hole stipulated round of individual stroke play. Contestants will play from the WHITE USGA Markers
wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet). The two (2) low individual scores will advance to the U.S. Senior Open
Championship at The Broadmoor (East Course) in Colorado Springs, CO on June 27 – July 1, 2018. Any play-offs will
take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.
Competition Schedule:
Starting times will start at 7:00am off #1. Please check the pairings link for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
Practice Round Information:
Available to contestants and 1 playing guest prior to the qualifying on a space available basis Tuesday – Thursday and
Saturday after 12:30PM. Green fees will be $90 per player. Cart fee is $20 per player. Players must contact
the Pro Shop to schedule practice round tee times.
Cart Information:
Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk. Pull-carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS
ARE PROHIBITED.
Caddies:
Caddies are permitted, however, they are not available from Diablo Country Club.
Practice Balls:
Provided for players prior to competition round at no cost. There will be limited ball stations for warm up on the 18th
hole. Warm up area on #18 will be closed at 10:00AM. Shuttles will be available. We ask that players be courteous to
their fellow competitors and limit their warm up time. There is also a warm up area by the clubhouse. PLAYERS ARE
RESPONSIBLE TO SHOW UP AT THE TEE FOR THEIR STARTING TIME.
Payment Information:
Cash and credit cards are accepted for Pro Shop purchases.
Food and Beverage Information:
Snack bar will be open from 8am-3pm. Cash or credit card. No outside food and beverage is permitted.
Withdrawals:
Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw. Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be
listed as No Shows.
Refunds:
In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-234-2400 for a refund prior to June 26, 2018. No refunds will
be issued after June 26, 2018.
ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION
Rules Information:
The 2018 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the 2018 USGA Hard Card. The Committee will
provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site. It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of
the competition.
Limitation of Golf Balls:
The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I-B-1c (pg. 156).
Automotive Transportation:
The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies. See Appendix I-B-8 (pg. 159).
Distance-Measuring Devices:
Distance Measuring Devices are NOT permitted.
Footwear:
Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of
design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come into contact with the course) are
prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.
Grooves Condition:
Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect. You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by
