2023 marks the 69th year of Bend Golf Club's marquee amateur event, the Mirror Pond Invitational. This individual. 36-hole stroke play event is open to amateurs 18 and older with current USGA handicaps.

Date:  Saturday, Sunday September 16th, 17th.  The entry deadline is September 13th, 2023. The field is limited to the first 140 paid entries. Refunds will not be available following the entry deadline.

Division eligibility:

  • Men’s Open Division—Entries are open to any amateur golfers over the age of 18 years old with current U.S.G.A. handicaps.  Play is from the black tees (73.5 / 133).  Maximum tournament handicap allowed is 14. 
  • Men’s Senior Division - Entries open to amateur men 55-64 years of age with current U.S.G.A. handicaps.  Play is from the blue tees (71.2 / 127).  Maximum tournament handicap allowed is 27. 
  • Men’s Super-Senior Division—Entries open to amateur men 65 years and up with current U.S.G.A. handicaps.  Play is from the blue/white combo tees (69.7/127).  Maximum tournament handicap allowed is 27.  


Registration Fees
Registration is
currently open and includes a practice round, 36 holes of stroke play, a tee prize, horse race on Saturday followed by dinner & payouts (BGC shop credit).

Format and Prizes
36 hole individual stroke play competition with three separate divisions.  Gross and net spots paid in each division. The winners of the Open Division will be recognized as the Champions of the 2022 Mirror Pond Invitational. Payouts will be in amateur sweeps credits in The Golf Shop at Bend Golf Club. 

Practice round
A complimentary practice round will be available, competitors may call the Golf Shop at 541-382-7437 beginning on Monday, July 4th to arrange a practice round for September 15th. Players may call for a practice round on any day other than September 15th however, space is limited, restrictions may apply. More than one practice round is allowed; players pay the prevailing member-guest rate.

Rules
USGA Rules of Golf will govern all play except for those conditions modified by local rules. 

Dress Code
Metal spikes are not permitted. Traditional golf attire must be worn at all times by competitors, their guests, and galleries. This includes collared golf shirts or mocks, tailored golf slacks or mid thigh-length shorts. Shirts must be tucked in and hats are to be worn bill forward. Competitors or guests not conforming to this dress code will be politely asked to change attire.

Starting Area
Players are asked to report to their starting tee no more than 10 and no less than 5 minutes ahead of their starting time.
