INVITED CELEBRITY CLASSIC QUALIFYING OVERVIEW

 

At the 3rd Annual Invited Celebrity Classic, a PGA TOUR Champions event, members will have the opportunity to earn a spot, playing alongside PGA TOUR Champions professionals and celebrities. The road to this unique opportunity runs through regional and national qualifying tournaments, where members will compete in Gross & Net Divisions, to ultimately earn their spot in the 2024 Invited Celebrity Classic field, April 19-21, 2024.

 

REGIONAL QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS

 

ELIGIBILITY: Qualifying is open to Primary and Secondary Full Golf members at Invited Golf and Country Clubs with an active, verified USGA GHIN handicap of 24 or less. The Net division will compete at 90% of the member's handicap index and up to a maximum of 18 shots. Index at the close of registration will be used. Members can play in multiple qualifying events but must select their division prior to the first event and remain in that division for any subsequent qualifiers.

 

ENTRY FEE: $150

ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries will close one week prior to the event.

FORMAT: Members will compete in an 18-hole, Modified Stableford format. Each regional qualifier will consist of Gross and Net Divisions Members must pre-select the division they wish to compete in when registering for the qualifier.

 

QUALIFYING SPOTS: Each qualifier will have five (5) Gross qualifiers and five (5) Net qualifiers advance from each regional qualifying site.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Members competing in the qualifiers will be eligible for a practice round on the Sunday prior to the qualifier and will be charged a cart fee. Please contact the qualifying sites, pro-shop for more information.

 

TEES:

Men (yardages from 6,500-6,700)

Senior Men-ages 60 and over (yardages from 6,100-6,300)

Women (yardages from 5,200-5,500)

 

* Note: Age and gender are only used to determine tee assignment; all players compete against one another in their chosen division (Net and Gross)

 

SCORING FORMAT (GROSS & NET DIVISIONS)

In 2024, Regional Member Qualifiers will use the same format as the Invited Celebrity Classic, where 0 points will be awarded for double bogey or higher score.

    • Double Eagle – 10 points
    • Hole-in-One – 8 points
    • Eagle – 6 points
    • Birdie – 3 points
    • Par – 2 points
    • Bogey – 1 point
    • Double Bogey or higher– 0

 

CANCELLATION/REFUND: Registered members may cancel for a refund up to two weeks prior to the Qualifying Tournament date (2 weeks prior at 5:00 pm local time). All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Director of National Member Tournaments & Events at tom.jaronski@invitedclubs.com . Please do not contact the Pro Shop at the qualifying course. No refunds will be issued for no shows or cancellations made within two weeks prior to the qualifying tournament date. Entry may be transferred to another regional qualifier on a space available basis.

Monday, December 18, 2023 – Tampa Palms Country Club – Tampa, FL 

Monday, January 15, 2024 – Gainey Ranch Golf Club (Arroyo/Lakes) –  Scottsdale, AZ

Monday, February 26, 2024 – Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club (South) – Coto de Caza, CA 

Monday, March 11, 2024 – Kingwood Country Club (Deerwood Course) – Kingwood, TX

Monday, March 18, 2024 – Las Colinas Country Club –  Irving, TX

 

 

NATIONAL QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT- April 12-14

COURSE: Stonebriar Country Club – Fazio Course

 

LOCATION: Frisco, TX

 

FORMAT: 36-hole modified Stableford event

  • April 12: Practice Round
  • April 13-14: National Qualifying Rounds

Players will receive tee gifts, lunch after each tournament round, and a final-round cocktail party with lite bites.

 

ENTRY FEE: $350

 

FIELD: The field will consist of the top thirty-five (35) Gross qualifiers and the top thirty-five (35) Net qualifiers from all regional qualifying tournaments.

 

TRAVEL & LODGING: Travel and lodging for the National Qualifier is at the members’ expense.

 

QUALIFYING SPOTS: The top five (5) from the Gross and top five (5) Net divisions will qualify to play in the 2024 Invited Celebrity Classic, April 15-21, 2024 at Las Colinas Country Club.

 

INVITED CELEBRITY CLASSIC QUALIFIERS: Members advancing to the Invited Celebrity Classic will receive the same benefits as PGA TOUR Champions professionals and celebrities. Invited will provide lodging at the tournament hotel for the qualifier and one (1) significant other from April 15-22.
