Format:                                                         

One 18-hole stipulated round of individual stroke play.  Contestants will play from the USGA Tee Markers wherever they are situated (see Yardage sheet).  The low individuals will advance to the Inaugural U.S. Senior Women’s Open Championship at Chicago Golf Club in Wheaton, Illinois on July 12-15, 2018. Any play-offs will take place immediately after the conclusion of play for the last spot and two alternate positions.

 

Competition Schedule:                               

Starting times will start at 7:30am off of hole #1.

Please check the NCGA website for groupings and starting times. Please be at your assigned tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Practice Round Information:                     

One complimentary round available to CONTESTANTS ONLY.  Please email Chris Stein at cstein@olyclub.com.  Practice rounds will be available from June 5th-8th and between 2-3 PM on June 10th on a space available basis. Local players should try to fit their practice round in the early dates.  DO NOT CONTACT OLYMPIC CLUB PRIOR TO THE PAIRINGS BEING RELEASED.

 

Cart Information:                                        

Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players and caddies must walk.

ONLY Olympic Club pull-carts are permitted. They may be rented with limited availability for $10. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.

 

Caddies:                                                        

Limited caddies are available from Olympic Club by contacting the Pat Merritt at pmerritt@olyclub.com.  Arrangements MUST be made in advance, do not expect caddies to be available without prior arrangements.

 

Practice Balls:                                              

Provided for players prior to and following competition round at no cost. The practice range will open at 6:30am. The practice putting and chipping greens will open at sunrise.

 

Payment Information:                                

The Pro Shop accepts CREDIT CARD ONLY and opens at 6:30 AM.

The Snack Stands accept CASH ONLY.  Please plan accordingly.

 

Food and Beverage Information:              

The Driving Range Snack Stand will open at 7:00 AM.  The 10th Hole Snack Stand will open at 9:00 AM. CASH ONLY.

 

Withdrawals:                                               

Notify the NCGA at 831-625-4653 to withdraw.  Players that fail to notify the NCGA prior to their starting time will be listed as No Shows.

 

Refunds:                                                        

In the event of injury or illness, contact the USGA at 908-326-1950 for a refund prior to July 12, 2018. No refunds will be issued after July 12, 2018.  A $35 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES INFORMATION

 

Rules Information:                                       

The Rules of Golf effective January, 2016 are in effect and are supplemented by the 2018 USGA Hard Card.  The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the qualifying site.  It is the player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.

 

Limitation of Golf Balls:                              

The optional condition in Appendix I known as the “One Ball” Rule is in effect. See Appendix I-B-1c (pg. 156).

 

Automotive Transportation:                     

The use of automotive transportation is prohibited for players and caddies.  See Appendix I-B-8 (pg. 159).

 

Footwear:                                                     

Shoes with traditionally designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e. ceramic) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when such metal comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are prohibited.  Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:                     

Distance-Measuring Devices are NOT permitted. Using a distance-measuring device during the stipulated round is a breach of Rule 14-3. Using the device more than once would result in DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Grooves Condition:                                     

Optional condition prescribed in Decision 4-1/1 is in effect.  You may check to see if your grooves are conforming by using the Informational Club Database - http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/intro.html
