Notice to Players
Note: This information supplements the information contained in the USGA Rules of Golf and NCAA Hard Card
GENERAL INFORMATION
FORMAT OF PLAY: Stroke play, 36 holes.
- Team: Lowest four (4) scores out of five (5).
- Individual Medalist: Lowest individual 36-hole score total.
TEES:
All play is from the BLUE tee markers.
- OUT OF BOUNDS defined by:
- The inside points, at ground level, of white stakes.
- Boundaries can be found on holes #8, 9, 10, 13, and 18.
- GROUND UNDER REPAIR defined by:
- Enclosed white lines
- French drains
- Vehicle wheel ruts
- Animal diggings (crows, skunks, etc.)
- Newly seeded area on the right side of hole #6
- NO PLAY ZONES -FLOWERBEDS:
- Flowerbeds are no play zones, to be treated as abnormal course conditions. Free relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f.
- Exception, hole #6: the mulched area on the right side of hole #6 is not considered to be a flowerbed; the ball must be played as it lies.
- IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS:
- All paths and roads, whether artificially surfaced or not, are immovable obstructions. Vehicle damage and wear adjacent to the paths are considered to be part of the same immovable obstruction.
- Stone walls are immovable obstructions.
- BALL DEFLECTED BY POWER LINE:
- If it is known or virtually certain that a player’s ball hit a power line (or tower or a wire or pole supporting a power line), the player must replay the stroke by playing the original ball or another ball from the spot that stroke was made.
- If the player replays the stroke but does so from a wrong place they get the general penalty under Rule 14.7a.
- If the player does not replay the stroke, they get the general penalty and the stroke counts, but the player has not played from a wrong place.
- If it is known or virtually certain that a player’s ball hit a power line (or tower or a wire or pole supporting a power line), the player must replay the stroke by playing the original ball or another ball from the spot that stroke was made.
SCORING AREA:
The scoring area is located on deck outside of golf shop and is defined by table and chairs A player has left the
scoring area when he has stepped outside the defined area with both feet.
CART RULES:
Carts are prohibited for players, coaches, and spectators.
