Format
Holes 1-3 Modified Alternate Shot - Both players tee off on every hole. The partner whose tee shot was not selected then plays the next stroke and each subsequent stroke is made in alternating order until the ball is holed. For example, if the tee shot of player A is selected, Player B will play the next stroke, then Player A plays and so on until the ball is holed. Both players then play from the teeing area of the next hole and the process is repeated.
Holes 4-6 Shamble, Both Balls - Like in a Scramble, each player plays from the teeing area on each hole and the optimal tee shot is selected. From that spot, both players play their own ball until holed and both scores are recorded on the scorecard. The team score will be the sum of scores for both players.
Holes 7-9 Best Ball - Both players play their own ball and both scores are recorded on the scorecard. The lowest score on the hole for the 2-person team will count as the team's score. When a player holes out and their partner is not in position to have a lower score, there is no need for the second player to hole out. For example, if Player A is on the green in 2 and Player B is on the green in 3, and Player A holes out on their first putt for a score of 3, Player B may pick up and is not required to hole out as their score will not be lower than Player A’s.
Holes 10-12 Shamble, Best Ball - Like in a Scramble, each player plays from the teeing area on each hole and the optimal tee shot is selected. From that spot, both players play their own ball until holed and both scores are recorded on the scorecard. The lowest score on the hole for the 2-person team will count as the team's score.
Holes 13-15 Both Balls - Both players play their own ball and both scores are recorded on the scorecard. The sum of both scores on the hole for the 2-person team will count as the team's score.
Holes 16-18 Scramble - Each player plays from the teeing area on each hole. One of the tee shots is selected and both partners play their second shots within 1 club length from that spot without changing the condition (if in rough, stay in rough) and no closer to the hole. One of the second shots is then selected, and both players hit their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. When on green, each player must putt from same location.
