Survivor Golf Series

Terms of Competition

Survivor Golf is designed to be competitive, fast moving and fun. These conditions apply to all teams and should be understood before teeing off.

Please read these conditions carefully. The format is based on two-person Ambrose, but with a number of important Survivor Golf rules that apply throughout the round.

01

Minimum 8 Drives Each

Each player must have at least 8 of their drives selected during the 18-hole round.

Mark the scorecard with the initials of the player whose drive was selected on each hole.
02

No Gimmies

There are no gimmies in Survivor Golf. Every putt must be holed.

Simple rule: Never give your partner or another team a putt.
03

No Continuation of Putts

Always mark your ball on the green and never tap in before your partner has had the opportunity to putt.

Example: Player A putts from 10 feet and leaves the ball 1mm from the hole. If Player A taps the ball in, that score is complete and Player B does not get the chance to attempt the original putt. Always mark the ball after the first putt.
04

Swap Cards

Teams will score the other team during the round and keep their marker note to help ensure scoring is accurate.

05

Score Using Golf Genius

One player from each team must also enter the team's scores through the Golf Genius app.

This provides live scoring throughout the event and sends results directly back to tournament operations.
06

Lift, Clean and Place

As per two-person Ambrose rules, each player may lift, clean and place their ball before each shot.

How it works:
Mark the selected ball first with a tee or marker. The ball may then be placed within one scorecard length of the marker, no nearer the hole. The ball must remain on the same type of surface.
If the selected ball is in the rough, it must remain in the rough. You cannot move the ball from the rough onto the fairway.
07

No Countbacks. Playoffs Only.

There are no countbacks to determine the winner in Survivor Golf. If two or more teams finish with the same net score, the winner will be decided by a playoff.

Teams will compete in a 90 metre shootout into the 18th green. No handicaps apply. Best score wins.

If the playoff is still tied, the 90 metre hole will be replayed until an outright winner is determined.

08

Committee Rulings

Survivor Golf will have a daily committee responsible for all rulings made during the event.

All decisions made by the Survivor Golf Committee will be final.
09

Scorecards Must Be Digitally Certified

All scorecards must be digitally verified and players and markers.

The card must be signed by one player from the team and one player from the other team acting as marker.
