£40 per entry (if female and male club winner entered separately).

Terms of the Competition
1.0 Eligibility
1.1. Female and Male Club Winners as determined by the report on the WHS platform. Only the players identified on the report will be allowed to compete in the Area Final’s. Should a Club Winner be unable to compete in an Area Final, a ‘next best placed’ substitute from the club is allowed.
1.2 All players must be of Amateur Status as defined by The Rules of Amateur Status.
1.3 Open to female and male amateur golfers of all ages, who are members of clubs affiliated to England Golf and in possession of an individual up-to-date Handicap Index not exceeding 54.0 under the WHS Rules of Handicapping. A Handicap Index must be issued from a “golf club” (as defined in the WHS Rules of Handicapping) that is authorised to use the WHS Rules of Handicapping.
2.0 Format
Area Final Qualifiers
2.1 There will be a maximum of 60 female and 60 male competitors in each Area Final.
2.2. Eligible entrants can select which one of the 10 venues across the country they would like to enter.
2.3 Regardless of score differential, the female and male Club Winners from an Area Final host venue shall be given exemption into that Area Final, subject to meeting the entry deadline and complying with all other entry criteria.
2.4 If a chosen Area Final is over-subscribed, players will be offered either a place on the reserve list, or a place at an alternative venue where possible. These places shall be offered based on best nett score differential order.
2.5 If the maximum number of entries per gender is not met in an Area Final, then entries may be topped up by competitors from either the waiting list of the other gender or by same gender competitors from the waiting list of another Area Final.
2.6 The Area Finals shall be played over 18 holes of stableford, qualifying for handicap purposes, using a 95% allowance for Playing Handicap.
2.7 The winner in each Area Final Qualifier shall be the player who returns the best stableford score over 18 holes and shall be presented with a memento at the Race to Woodhall Spa Final.
2.8 Ties to determine places into the Race to Woodhall Spa Final (see below) shall be decided on the scores of last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the round. If a tie still arises it shall be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the first nine holes of the round.

2.9 The Final shall be played over 18 holes of stableford, qualifying for handicap purposes, using a 95% allowance for Playing Handicap.
2.10 A maximum of 60 players will compete in the Women’s Final and a maximum of 60 players will compete in the Men’s Final.
2.11 Finalists will be taken on a pro-rata basis from the 10 Area Finals, based on the number of players that compete on the day. There will be maximum of 6 places available from each Area Final (The England Golf Championship Committee has the authority to give exemptions into the Final at their discretion).
2.12 The Race to Woodhall Spa Final winners (female and male) shall be the competitors who return the best stableford score over 18 holes and shall be presented with a trophy and memento. In the event of a tie places shall be decided on the net scores of the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the round. If a tie still arises it shall be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the first nine holes of the round.
2.13 Where players who have qualified for the Race to Woodhall Spa Final and are unable to compete, places shall be allocated from the next available player from the relevant Area Final.
3.0 Entries
3.1 Entries must be made online at the England Golf website (www.englandgolf.org). In order to enter online, a club will be required to register all the relevant details of their Club Winners to be able enter the event. This registration will only be required once, any subsequent entries for other events in the future will be submitted via your account.
3.2 Entries by telephone are not accepted.
3.3 Payment will be taken immediately upon entry using the card details provided on entry. Once the field has been determined based on the best nett score differentials, unsuccessful entrants will be placed on a reserve list.
3.4 If a Club Winner is unsuccessful with their entry and/ or do not wish to accept a place on a reserve list, the card details used on entry shall be refunded in full (for a combined entry, this will be £30 for an individual unsuccessful entrant/ £70 for both unsuccessful entrants) within 7 days of the final Area Final.
3.5 Entries received after the competition closing date will only be considered if the maximum field size has not been achieved.
3.6 All entries shall be subject to the approval of the Championship Committee, which reserves the right to accept, refuse, or cancel an entry without giving reason for its decision. The Committee's decision shall be final. In such cases, any entry fee will be refunded.
4.0 Withdrawals
4.1 Withdrawals will only be accepted if email confirmation is received by England Golf (championships@englandgolf.org).
4.2 If a player withdraws prior to the closing date their entry will be deleted and a full refund shall be provided (as per clause 3.4 above). In the event of a competitor withdrawing after the closing date (subject to clause 3.4 above) the entry fee will not be refunded.
