GOLF Am Tour is the largest amateur golf tour in the world and the only tour powered by Golf Channel. It provides an authentic tour-style competitive golf experience consisting of Local Tournaments and Major Championships which are open to players of all ages and abilities, allowing golfers to compete with others and gain access to top courses in their area and across Australia.

A local tournament is a competitive, 1-day, 18-hole tournament. Players do not need to qualify for Locals, as they are open to everyone.

A major championship is a competitive, 2-day, 36-hole tournament that typically draws registrants from across the country. Players do not need to qualify for Majors, as they are open to everyone.

GOLF Am Tour is open to everyone who loves to play tournament golf and holds an official Golf Australia Handicap! Whether you’re an accomplished scratch player or a beginner, there’s a place for you on the Am Tour.

The GOLF Am Tour Order of Merit rewards players every time they play in an Am Tour event in 2019. Based on your finishing position in each event you will earn Order of Merit points.

The top 55 players in the Order of Merit for 2019 will gain an invitation to compete in this National Final in December 2019.

The winner and runner-up of the National Final will be invited to join the USA Am Tour team to compete in the Duel in Desert in Las Vegas in February 2020, all expenses paid.

Entry to the Order of Merit is free and gives you the chance to play more golf and win more than $25,000 in prizes.

Entry fees for each event vary based on tournament location, time of year, number of rounds and venue. Check out the Event Schedule for more information on upcoming Local Tournaments and Major Championships.

Subject to your final position on the Order of Merit for 2019, you may have to pay an Entry Fee subject to the Players final position on the 2019 Order of Merit. Players will be responsible to cover the costs of their own travel costs (Air and Ground) to compete in the National Final. The Entry Fee payable will be based on the Player (Not team) finishing position on the Order of Merit at the completion of the last GOLF Am Tour published schedule

  • Top 10 players – pay 0% of Entry Fee
  • Next 15 players - pay 25% of Entry Fee
  • Next 15 players - pay 50% of Entry Fee
  • Next 15 players - pay 100% of Entry Fee

Flights are not included and the final number of players in the National Final may vary at the absolute discretion of the GOLF Am Tour organisers.

Each Am Tour tournament is designed to provide a quality tour-style experience and are hosted on the best public and private courses utilising professional scoring. The top finishers who hold a Golf Australia handicap will have a chance to win prizes and Order of Merit points. All Am Tour events abide by The R&A’s Rules of Golf, including those rules pertaining to amateur status.

A member is anyone who has created a profile and logged into the GOLF Am Tour website. A guest is a user who has not created a profile - these users can still be added to your booking by selecting Add Guest.

You can enter an event by clicking the Book Now button on the event page. You will then be prompted to login with your GOLF ID - instructions on how to set this up are located here. Once logged, follow the booking process, if you would like to add additional golfers to your booking select Add Member if they have created a profile previously, otherwise select Guest and fill in the required information.
