TGA One Day Series

 

About

For Amateur golfers of all skill and ability. These events will allow you to play in a competitive, fun atmosphere. Golfers will be able to select their pairing and each event will be a shotgun start.

 

Competition

Most rounds will be stroke play events that feature Gross and Net divisions; only golfers who hole out on each hole will be eligible for the gross division. To be eligible for the Net division a golfer must posses an active GHIN handicap; otherwise you may only compete in the Gross division. To sign up for a TGA membership, click here today

 

Individual Events - Divisions

For individual events, all golfers will be entered into each division. Divisions will be broken down by age and ability level. Each division will play to a specific yardage. If there are less than four golfers in a division, it will be combined with the other similar age division. Golfers can only select one division when registering and can change division up until 12:00 p.m. CDT Friday prior to the event.

Individual Events - Points

Starting in 2023, players in individual events will earn points based on their finish. These points will accumulate during the year; the top 8 earners in each division/flight (gross & net) will be invited to participate in the One Day Series Finale (more information below). Points will be awarded to the top 10 places in each event.

Team Events - Formats

For team events, all golfers will compete against each other. Each golfer will select the tee they would like to play based on age; a golfer may choose to play from farther back but cannot move forward unless they meet the age criteria. 

 

Four-Ball - Two person teams comprised of any gender combination. 18 holes of stroke play using 90% of a player's course handicap. Prizes will be awarded in both gross and net stableford competition.

 

Scramble - Two person teams comprised of any gender combination. 18 hole scramble format. Prizes will be awarded for gross competition only.

 

Fees

Individual $80/member $5 skins (optional)
     
Team $160/team $10 skins/team (optional)

 

Prizes

Each Gross and Net winner in each division will receive gift certificates the host golf shop. Additional winners in each division will be based on the number of entries in each division. If a golfer wins in both the Gross & Net division, they will only be awarded the higher of the two amounts.The lower amount will be awarded to the next eligible player.

 

Skins

An optional gross skins game will be available for $5 per person ($10 per team). Skins winnings will be awarded in gift certificates to the host pro shop.

 

Online Registration

All entries for the TGA One Day Series will be done online. To register for an event, please click on the Schedule in the menu bar above. All entrants will need to have created a profile in the TGA's Golf Genius portal (played in a previous One Day event, TGA championship, attended a workshop, etc.); if you have not created your profile yet, please do so by clicking here

 

*Please note that profiles created without GHIN numbers will have to be approved by a manager before you can register for an event.

 

Important note: after creating your profile, you must go back in to register for the event. Creating a profile does not register you for an event.*

 

Withdrawals

Withdrawals will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. CDT Friday prior to the event. Withdrawals will be subject to a $25 fee. 

 

One Day Series Finale

New for this year, players will accumulate points based on their finishes in individual one day events. At the conclusion of the final individual event, the highest accumulating 8 players in each division (gross and net) will be invited to the series finale. If a player finishes in the top 8 of both lists, the next available golfer will be invited.
