Kapi Tareha Memorial 26 • Napier Golf Club
General Play
- No Placing – Play it as it lies.
- Ready Golf – Players may play out of turn safely to maintain pace.
- Repair pitch marks, divots, and rake bunkers. Leave rakes in the center of bunkers.
Boundaries & Out of Bounds
- Marked by boundary fence posts, white stakes, or lines.
- Clubhouse area, paths, and carpark are Out of Bounds.
- Right of Hole 12 towards practice range is Out of Bounds.
- Any ball beyond a public road is Out of Bounds.
Code of Conduct
Rule 1.2b adopted: intentionally playing from Hole 13 tee toward Hole 14 fairway incurs a general penalty.
Penalty Areas
- Small area right of Holes 2 & 3.
- Forested areas left of Holes 11, 12, and 15.
No Play Zones
- All staked and roped areas – free relief under Rule 16.1f.
- Tended gardens and staked trees (less than 2 club lengths high) – relief under Rule 16.1.
- Relief not allowed under Rule 15.2.
Obstructions & Relief
- All stakes (except boundary pegs) are immovable – free relief under Rule 16.1.
- Practice bunkers left of Holes 10, 11, and 15 are ground under repair – free relief under Rule 16.1b.
- All formed paths and roads are immovable obstructions – free relief under Rule 16.1.
- Boundary fence gates are part of the fencing.
Distance Markers
Sprinkler heads and fairway markers measure to the center of the green:
- Blue – 170m
- White/Conifer Trees – 135m
- Red – 100m
Conditions of Entry
- Competitors must be full playing members of an affiliated NZ Golf Club.
- Competition played under R&A Rules with Napier Golf Club Local Rules.
- Entries close February 11, 2025. Fee includes Friday practice round and Saturday lunch.
- Field restricted to first 108 prepaid entries.
- Males play from BLUE tees (Par 72). Females play from YELLOW Kapi Tees (Par 72).
- Handicaps locked as of February 12, 2025.
- Saturday draw seeded by handicap; Sunday draw seeded by gross result.
- Winner decided by best overall Gross score over
