Makeup Rounds, Player Eligibility & Tiebreakers

Official rules for weekly play, playoffs, and match scheduling

👥 Player Eligibility

No substitute players are allowed. Each team must compete using the two golfers who originally registered for the league.

Important: Substitute players are not permitted. The two golfers who registered for the team are expected to play each match.
Last-Option Solo Play If one registered teammate cannot play and the team cannot complete a makeup round, the available teammate may play both positions as a last option.
Solo Play Tee Adjustment When one golfer plays both positions, the two balls must be played from different tee boxes. Player 1 plays from the White Tees and Player 2 plays from the Blue Tees.

📅 Makeup Rounds

If one of the two registered players cannot attend the scheduled Monday match, the teams may arrange to play their match on a different day.

Play Early The matchup may be played up to one week in advance.
Makeup Deadline If the match is not played on Monday, it must be completed before Thursday.
Same Two Players The makeup match should be played by the two golfers who originally registered for each team. If one registered golfer ultimately cannot participate, the last-option solo-play rule above may be used.

🚩 Forfeits

If a team is unable to play its scheduled match, cannot complete a makeup round within the allowed window, and cannot use the last-option solo-play rule, the match will be recorded as a forfeit.

Forfeiting Team The forfeiting team receives 0 golf points for the week.
Non-Forfeiting Team The opposing team receives 45 golf points, equivalent to a 9 UP match-play result.
Forfeit Score: The match is recorded as 9 UP / 9 DN for golf scoring purposes, with the non-forfeiting team receiving the 45 golf points.

⚖️ Regular-Season Tiebreakers

League standings and weekly results use the following tiebreaker:

Total Points is the tiebreaker for both weekly matchups and overall league standings.

🏆 Playoff Tiebreakers

If a playoff matchup finishes tied, the following tiebreakers will be used in order:

Front Nine Result

The teams' results from holes 1–9 will be compared. The team with the better front-nine result advances.

Closest-to-the-Pin Contest

If the front nine is also tied, the matchup will be decided by a closest-to-the-pin contest on Hole #7 at Pebble Beach.

Six Shots Per Team

Each team receives six total shots. The team with the closest shot to the pin wins the playoff tiebreaker.
