Championship Format: 36-hole on site Stroke Play qualifier to determine 16 players for match play. After the first 36-holes on Wednesday, July 17th, the field will be cut to the low 16 qualifiers for match play. In the event of a tie for the last qualifiers place, a hole-by-hole playoff will be immediately conducted to determine the final qualifiers.

Match Play Seeding: General numerical draw will be used. For purposes of determining places in the draw, ties in the qualifying round will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in a play-off will be determined by the order of finish in the play-off.

Eligibility: The Junior Championship is open to male amateur golfers who have not started attending college, are not yet 19 by July 31, 2019 (The MGA/MetLife Boys Championship is limited to those not yet 16 on Aug 2, 2019, and must be members of an MGA Member Club. A person who does not reside in the MGA territory and who is not a full-time student or employed in the MGA territory, cannot join an MGA Member Club for the purpose of entering an MGA event. Male golfers under the age of 16 may compete in both the MGA/MetLife Boys and Met Junior Championships.
