Format |
36-hole Stroke Play Championship.
After the first 18-holes on Monday, August 24th, the field will be cut to the low 40 players & ties and all players within five (5) strokes of the lead. 18-holes will be played on Tuesday, August 25th to determine a Champion.
In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held immediately following play.

Exemption Categories |
This competition is open to golfers who will have reached their fiftieth birthday by August 11th, 2020 who are:
1) MGA Senior Open Champions for the last ten years.
2) USGA Champions and members of the Walker Cup Team from the past 10 years.
3) Qualifiers and exempt players for the 2020 National Senior Club Pro Championship.
4) Past Met Open, Amateur, Ike and Mid-Amateur Champions (age 60 or less).
5) Top 25 finishers in the 2019 MGA Senior Open Championship.
6) Qualifiers in the 2020 Met Open Championship.
7) Top 20 Seniors in the 2020 NJSGA and CSGA Open and the 2019 NYS Open.
8) MGA Senior Amateur Champions for the last 5 years.
9) Top 10 finishers in the 2019 MGA Senior Amateur Championship.
10) Top Five Seniors who make the cut in the 2019 MGA Mid-Amateur Championship.
11) Qualifiers and alternates for the: 2019 USGA: Open (LQR); Senior Open; Amateur; Mid-Amateur; USGA Senior Amateur.
12) Top 20 in the 2019 LIGA and WGA Open.
13) Top 10 from the 2020 Met PGA and 2019 NJSGA/NJ PGA Senior Open Championship.
14) Top 3 finishers in the 2019 LIGA Senior Open Champion.
15) 2019 NJSGA Pre-Senior and Senior Amateur Champions.
16) Reigning WGA, LIGA, NYSGA and CSGA Senior Amateur Champions as of Aug 5, 2020
17) 2019 Stoddard Cup team members.
18) Professional Representative from Essex County Country Club and the current Club and Senior Club Champion.
19) Special Invitees of the MGA Executive Committee.
