| Eligibility | Entry is open to any male amateur golfer ages 8-18 as of August 12, 2021, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA Handicap Index® at a CGA member club that does not exceed 18.3. |
| Format |
The championship format is 54-holes of stroke play. The field will be reduced to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes. |
| Divisions | There are no age divisions. Boys will compete in one division. |
| Starting Times |
8:00 am - 9:45 am & 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm Starting times will be posted 7 days in advance of tournament date. |
| Course Setup | Course yardage is approximately 6,668 yards, par 72 (Gold tees). |
| Field Size | 144 players |
| Electronic Measuring Devices | Players may use an approved measuring device during this event. |
| Push/Pull Carts | Push carts area allowed and encouraged at all TYGA tournaments. |
| Caddie Information | Caddie must be 18 years of age or younger. |
| Spectator and Parent Policy |
Spectator Information:
Spectator carts are allowed at a rate of $TBD per cart. Spectator carts are
restricted to the cart path at all times. Parent Policy: Parents are encouraged to follow their child(ren). We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a golf ball. |
| Withdrawal and Refund Policy |
If you cannot compete, you must
withdraw online from the event
or by
contacting the CGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to the day of the tournament.
If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you
maybe
suspended from CGA events for 1 year. Refund Policy: A $30 administrative fee will be charged to all withdrawals. |
| Prizes | Trophies are awarded to the champion and the top six players. |
| Handicap Posting | CGA wil post tournament scores to player's GHIN handicap record. |
