77th Westchester Junior Championship

The 105th Met Junior Championship SQR (W/CT) will be held in conjunction with the 77th Westchester Junior Championship. Each participant in the 105th Met Junior Championship SQR (W/CT) who resides within the "Nine-County Area" of the Westchester Golf Association will be automatically entered into the WGA Championship.

Registration and payment must be submitted by Friday, June 17th at 12:00 p.m.

Format


This event is a one-day 18-hole stroke play competition.

105th Met Junior Championship: In the event of a tie for the last qualifying position(s), all ties will qualify.
54th MGA/MetLife Boys Championship: In the event of a tie, the last qualifying position will be decided by using the USGA’s recommended method of matching cards.

Each qualifying site will be allocated a set number of qualifying positions based on the size of the field, which will be communicated prior to the event.
Eligibility


The Junior Championship is open to male amateur golfers who have not started attending college, are not yet 19 by July 21, 2022 (The MGA/MetLife Boys Championship is limited to those not yet 16 on August 11, 2022, and must be members of an MGA Member Club. A person who does not reside in the MGA territory and who is not a full-time student or employed in the MGA territory, cannot join an MGA Member Club for the purpose of entering an MGA event. Male golfers under the age of 16 may compete in both the MGA/MetLife Boys and Met Junior Championships.

Carts/Caddies • This is a walking only event.
• Players may bring their own caddie.
• Please Note: Players are NOT permitted to have a parent/legal guardian as their caddie.
• Players may carry their own bag.
• Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
• It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread.
• Final information will be provided in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event.
Food Service Food service will vary at each qualifying location, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
