Out of bounds is defined by the course side edge of boundary ditches. b. CHANGE TO HARD CARD: Where a boundary is defined by a white line and, furthermore, white stakes have been placed for visibility, these stakes are movable obstructions. 2. Abnormal Course Conditions (Including Immovable Obstructions) (Rule 16) 150 yard markers are immovable obstructions 3. Preferred Lies on 9th and 18th holes When a player’s ball lies on the fairway on the 9th or 18th holes, the player may prefer the lie within 6 inches. See Model Local Rule E-3 for details of how this must be done. 4. Integral Objects Wires and other objects closely attached to trees are integral objects 5. Prohibiting Use of Clubs Longer than 46 inches (Model Local Rule G-10) In making a stroke, the player must not use a club, except for a putter, which exceeds 46 inches in length. Penalty for Making a Stroke with a Club in Breach of this Local Rule: Disqualification. There is no penalty under this Local Rule for carrying but not making a stroke with a club which does not conform to these length specifications.
