ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The English Senior Women's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship is open to golfers aged 50 or over on the first day of the championship and is played by 54 holes of stroke play over three days.

A maximum of 144 competitors will play 18 holes on each of the first two days. After 36 holes the leading 45 competitors and all those tying for 45th place shall play a further 18 holes on the third day.

In addition to the main championship, the Handicap Competition shall consist of 36 holes of Stroke Play. One round of 18 holes shall be played on each of the first two days. The winner shall be the competitor who returns the lowest net score over 36 holes.

Entry Fee: £80 (Championship), £65 (Handicap)
Entry Closing Date: 23:59 on Thursday 1 June
Maximum Handicap: 16.0

THIS YEAR'S VENUE

Preston Golf Club is a friendly and welcoming club set in 120 acres of stunning, tranquil parkland, on the north side of Preston.

The superb 18 hole, 6,278 yard, par 71 course dates back to 1892, with the design influenced by such luminaries as James Braid, Harry Vardon, Alistair Mackenzie & Sandy Herd.  It has a wonderful variety of holes plus superb USGA constructed greens that offer a challenge to players of all abilities.
