2 players from each Club in England can enter the R&A 9 Hole Qualifier. The top 3 leading pairs from across the country will qualify for the final at Royal Portrush on Friday 11 July 2025, the week before The 153rd Open Championship. Scores will be combined to form a team score. There are two options to determine your Club's winning pair for the 9 Hole Challenge:

Option 1: From the 1 April this year, each club will be able to run the 9 Hole Challenge report which will be available on the WHS™ Platform to determine the 2 members who returned the best 9 hole scores between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025. 

Option 2: Run a 9 Hole qualifying competition in 2025, before the entry deadline.

Once you have determined your club winner, the next stage is to enter your winning pair on the WHS portal by clicking the 'Register Now For 9 Hole Challenge' button.

Within the form, you will be asked to provide the details of both players and their scores, which will be checked once the entry has been received.

The entry window will open on 1 April 2025 and close on 3 June 2025. 

Please note: A maximum of one player in the pair may be under the age of 18. In the case of the two best net score differentials at a club being entered by under the age of 18, the best Under 18 score will be paired with the best score submitted by a player over the age of 18 at the club.
