Format

18-Hole Stroke Play Qualifier. The top 31 players will advance to the Match Play portion of the Championship.

In the event of a tie for the final qualifying position(s), a sudden death playoff will take place at the completion of stroke play to determine the final qualifying spots.
Eligibility

Amateur members of MGA Member Clubs in the nine county area, members of the MGA eClub – Hudson Valley, MGA eClub – Connecticut, or USGA/MGA GC who reside in the nine county area, and members of the MGA eClub – New York City or USGA/MGA GC who reside in the Bronx, or Manhattan* with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 7.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping.
*MGA eClub – NYC or USGA/MGA GC members who reside in Manhattan may play in either LIGA or WGA events, not both.

Exemptions: Defending Champion is exempt from qualifying for match play.

Championship Information
Carts/Caddies • This is a walking only event.
• Players may bring their own caddie.
• Players may carry their own bag.
• Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
• It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread.
• Final information will be released in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event.
Food Service Food service will vary at each qualifying location, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
