| Format | 36 holes of individual stroke play with cut to low 30 & ties after 18 holes. In the event of a tie after 36 holes, there will be a three-hole aggregate playoff immediately following regulation play. In the event of a tie after three holes, the tied players will immediately continue to playoff hole-by-hole until a champion is determined. The Super Senior Flight is open to Professionals who will have reached their 60th birthday by October 20, 2026. This flight awards an additional purse to the Top 4 finishers over 36 holes. |
| Eligibility | This competition is open to golfers who will have reached their 50th birthday by October 20, 2026 who are: 1) PGA Members in good standing in the Long Island Section. 2) PGA Apprentices, employed at a golf facility in the Long Island section, who are enrolled in the Professional Golf Management (‘PGM’). 3) Professional golfers who are residents of Long Island and not employed outside the Long Island section at the time of the tournament. 4) Amateur members of MGA Member Clubs on Long Island, members of the MGA eClub – Long Island or USGA/MGA GC who reside on Long Island, and members of the MGA eClub – New York City or USGA/MGA GC who reside in Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, or Manhattan* with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 4.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping. *MGA eClub – NYC or USGA/MGA GC members who reside in Manhattan may play in either LIGA or WGA events, not both. 5) Applicants for Amateur Reinstatement at MGA Member Clubs on Long Island with an individual up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 4.0 under the USGA Rules of Handicapping. |
| Carts/Caddies | • Players are permitted to use a golf cart. • Players may bring their own caddie. • Players may carry their own bag. • Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players. • It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread. • Final information will be provided in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event. |
