Notice to Players

Reynolds Senior Invitational
October 26–28, 2026
Notice to Players
Play is governed by the Rules of Golf effective January 2023 and by the following Local Rules.
1. Tees
Senior Division will play from the #1 Tees. Super-Senior Division will play from the #2 Tees. Legends Division will play from the #3 Tees. Grand Master Division will play from the #4 Tees.
2. Format
54 holes of individual stroke play consisting of three 18-hole rounds.
3. Ties
Ties for first place in each division will be broken by a sudden victory playoff. The playoff starting hole will be determined by the Rules Committee at the time of the playoff based on golf course availability.
4. Equipment
The ball and clubs a player plays must be on the Conforming Ball and Club lists issued by the USGA.
5. Out of Bounds
Out of bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points, at ground level, of white stakes or fence posts or the course-side edge of public roads. In addition, white stakes with blue tops indicate that the outside edge of a cart path is the out of bounds line for the part of the course between such stakes. A ball crossing a public road is out of bounds for the hole being played, even if it comes to rest in another part of the course.
6. Penalty Areas
Penalty areas are marked with red or yellow stakes or painted lines. In addition, red stakes with blue tops indicate that the outside edge of a cart path between such stakes is the edge of the penalty area.
7. Immovable Obstructions Close to Putting Greens
Model Local Rule F-5.2 is in effect. Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1. The player has an extra option to take relief when such immovable obstructions are on or close to the putting green and on the line of play.

For a ball in the general area, the player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is on the line of play and is:
a) on or within two club lengths of the putting green, and
b) within two club lengths of the ball.
Complete relief must be taken, which includes both physical and line of play interference. This Local Rule only applies when both the ball and the obstruction are in part of the general area cut to fairway height or less.
8. Wooden Split Rail Fences and Stones Arranged for Erosion Control
When located outside of penalty areas, these are deemed to be immovable obstructions. Relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1.
9. Integral Objects
Cables, rods, wires, or wrappings when closely attached to a tree and artificial walls, rock or stone walls when located in a penalty area are integral objects and relief is not allowed.
10. Relief from Seams of Cut Turf
Relief is available when a player’s ball lies in or touches a seam, or the seam interferes with the player’s area of intended swing. Use Rule 16.1b in the General Area and Rule 16.1d on the putting green. There is no relief for stance-only interference. All seams within the area of cut turf are treated as the same seam in taking relief.
11. Temporary Immovable Obstructions
Tarps, including all accompanying pallets and sandbags, adjacent to putting greens are deemed to be temporary immovable obstructions.
12. Dropping Zones
Great Waters Holes 14 and 17 and Oconee Hole 5 — If a player’s ball is in the penalty area in front of these holes, including when it is known or virtually certain to be in that penalty area even though not found, the player has these relief options, each for one penalty stroke:
a) The player may take relief under Rule 17.1; or
b) As an extra option, the player may drop the original ball or another ball in the designated dropping zone.
Dropping Zone Locations:
Great Waters Holes 14 and 17 — on the most forward teeing area.
Oconee Hole 5 — between the most forward teeing area and the pond.
13. Returning Scorecard
Model Local Rule L-1 is in effect. If a player returns a scorecard without the hole scores being certified by either the player, the marker or both, the player gets the general penalty (2 strokes) applied to the last hole of the player’s round.
14. Result of the Competition
Once all scores have been posted on the official scoreboard and approved by the Rules Committee, the result is official.
