Four-Ball #1 & Season Long Match Play Qualifier

REGISTRATION

ENTRY FEE

Option #1 - $210.00:	Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, & gift certificates.
Option #2 - $290.00:	Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, gift certificates AND season long match play fee.

NOTE: Teams registering for Option #2 are opting in to season long match play. Refer to the season long match play policies in the "Player Information" tab at the top

REFUND POLICY

Players will have up to 2 days (48 hours) AFTER the registration closing date to request a refund and will be subject to a $10.00 administrative fee, regardless of reason. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received after 2 days (48 hours) after the registration closing date.

ELIGIBILITY

NOGA Tournament entries are open to any amateur golfer, male or female, holding an active NOGA/GHIN Handicap Index® at the time of registration and competition from an authorized NOGA member club. Entries are subject to the approval or rejection, at any time, by the NOGA tournament committee at its discretion. Players must be 19 years of age on or before the date of competition. HANDICAP INDEX LIMIT

5.4 or lower for ALL Scratch Series tournaments.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

FORMAT

Four-Ball Stroke Play. Two players compete together as a side, each playing their own ball. The lower score of the two players is the sides score for that hole. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and its decisions, by the NOGA Hard Card and the terms of competition. Rule 1.3B states that players are responsible for applying the rules to themselves.

SEASON LONG MATCH PLAY

After the Four-Ball Qualifier is complete, the top 16 teams from each division (Scratch, Senior & Super Senior) who registered for Option #2 will be seeded into brackets by GROSS score and will play matches against the other qualifying teams within the division throughout the season. Each Four-Ball match played at GROSS. No handicaps will be applied.

FIELD SIZE

100 Players / 50 Teams. If the event is full, teams can still register and be placed on the Waiting List. Teams will NOT be charged until they have been moved from the Waiting List to the Tournament Roster.

DIVISIONS

Scratch Division:	Must have a Handicap Index of 5.4 or lower
Senior Scratch Division:	Must have a Handicap Index of 5.4 or lower and BOTH players must be between 55 years of age on or before the date of the competition.
Super Senior Scratch Division:	Must have a Handicap Index of 5.4 or lower and BOTH players must be 65 years of age on or before the date of the competition.

TEES BY DIVISION

NOTE: Tee set and yardage information will be emailed to players after registration closes.

PAIRINGS & REQUESTS

Pairings will be posted to NOGA.org and sent to players after registration closes. If you would like to request a specific pairing group or tee time, please contact Sean Croell at scroell@noga.org

GIFT CERTIFICATES

During registration, players will choose the club/facility they wish to have gift certificate winnings sent to. Please allow 2-3 weeks after the event for gift certificate winnings to arrive at the chosen club/facility.

TIES

In the event that there is a tie, NOGA will retain the tie, unless otherwise noted in the specific tournaments terms of competition.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Points will be awarded for the NOGA Player of the Year award. Refer to the "Player of the Year" at the top menu of the portal.

THE COURSE - ELYRIA COUNTRY CLUB

Elyria Country Club (ECC) is the creative vision of William S. Flynn, one of America’s premier golf course architects. A founding partner of the renowned Philadelphia School of Design, Flynn produced plans for some sixty courses nationwide; two others in the Cleveland area (The Country Club and Pepper Pike CC) along with well-known national venues Shinnecock Hills CC on Long Island which is home of the 2018 United States Open, the Homestead’s Cascades Course in Virginia, and Cherry Hills CC in Colorado.

Built in 1925 during the “golden age” of golf course design, ECC is an exceptionally beautiful 18-hole course that plays to 6,750 yards from the championship tees.
