Format Junior - 18 holes of stroke play
Boys – 18 holes of stroke play
Girls – 18 holes of stroke play

In the event of a tie, a sudden death playoff will be held immediately following the conclusion of play. Players are responsible for being aware of any potential playoffs and the time play will conclude.
Eligibility Junior/Boys - The competition is open to male Junior golfers not yet 19 on June 29th and who have not yet started college and to Boys not yet 16 on June 29th. Entrants must be accredited students at schools on Long Island, or members of LIGA Member Clubs.

Girls - The competition is open to female golfers not yet 19 on June 29th (and not yet in college) who are accredited students at schools on Long Island, or who are members of LIGA member clubs or courses.
105th Met Junior Championship sponsored by MetLife SQR


The 101st Long Island Junior Championship at Smithtown Landing will be held in conjuction with the 105th Met Junior Championship SQR. Players wishing to participate in both the LIGA Junior Championship and MGA Junior/Boys SQR will have to register for both events.

Carts/Caddies • This is a walking only event.
• Players may bring their own caddie.
• Please Note: Players are NOT permitted to have a parent/legal guardian as their caddie.
• Players may carry their own bag.
• Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
• It is strongly recommended that caddies wear shoes without spikes or tread.
• Final information will be provided in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event.
