Format: 36-hole Stroke Play Championship. In the event of a tie for the Championship, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held immediately following play.

Eligibility: The competition is open to male amateur golfers who reside in the MGA territory and do not have playing privileges at any course (e.g. a golf facility outside of the Met Area) at which the general public is excluded. A person who does not reside in the MGA territory, and who is not a full-time student or employed in the MGA territory, cannot join a club for the purpose of entering the MGA Public Links Championship.
