Brabazon Trophy - Qualifying Exemptions

ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Brabazon Trophy is the English Men's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and is open to male amateur golfers of all nationalities.

The Championship is played by 72 holes of stroke play over four days and will be contested by 144 competitors, consisting of exempt players and those who have progressed through qualifying. 18 holes are played on each of the first two days. After 36 holes the leading 60 competitors and all those tying for 60th place shall play a further 18 holes on the third day, followed by a re-draw and a final 18 holes on the fourth day.

Entry Fee: £125 (exempt Players) £80 (entry into qualifiers, with a further £45 due upon qualification)

Maximum Handicap: 2.0

Designed by world famous architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, Moortown is set in 175 acres of dramatic lowland heathland. Well-known around the world as the host of the first Ryder Cup match on British soil in 1929, Moortown has always held a richly deserved reputation as one of the England's finest inland championship golf courses.

The Brabazon Trophy is a European Amateur Order of Merit (EAOM) for 2026.

The winner of the Brabazon Trophy will also receive an invitation to a HotelPlanner Tour event.
