Format

The 58th MGA/MetLife Boys Championship will be Match Play Format with Low 16 qualifiers.

Eligibility

The MGA/MetLife Boys Championship is limited to those not yet 16 on July 23, 2026, and must be members of an MGA Member Club. A person who does not reside in the MGA territory and who is not a full-time student or employed in the MGA territory, cannot join an MGA Member Club for the purpose of entering an MGA event. Male golfers under the age of 16 may compete in both the MGA/MetLife Boys and Met Junior Championships.

Exemptions

1. Former winners of MGA/MetLife Boys Championship. Defending Champion will be the 1 seed, if the previous champion is still eligible, they will be the 2 seed and so forth.
2. Current Junior Club Champion at Host Club – Gardiner’s Bay CC. Host Club Junior Champ will be the 9 seed.

Carts/Caddies • This is a walking only event.
• Caddies are not permitted.
• Players must carry their own bag.
• Pull carts will be approved on a course by course basis, please consult the Memorandum to Players.
• Final information will be provided in the Memorandum to Players, which will be released prior to the event.
