Player Information

Registration Opens July 9 at 8:00 pm

Entry Fee $150
Eligibility Entry is open to invited male and female amateur golfers 18 years of age and under of August 30, 2020 who is a legal resident of NC or SC, who has not started college (class of 2021 and higher) and who has current USGA handicap of 15.0 or lower.
Field Size

120 players with field open to the first 70 boys and 30 girls invited to register.  8 boys’ spots and 4 girls’ spots are reserved for Dan Dobson Junior on August 3rd.

Top 8 (and ties) in boys’ overall and top 4 (and ties) in girls’ overall are automatically placed into Mimosa Hills Junior Invitational field.

Format

The championship format is 36-holes of stroke play.

Divisions

Players will compete in divisions based on gender; there are no age divisions.

Starting Times Round one - 7:30 am - 12:40 pm starting times
Round two - 7:30 am - 12:40 pm starting times
Will  be posted 7 days in advance of tournament date.
Course Setup

Boys will play from approximately 6,755 yards par 72.

Girls will play from approximately 5,810 yards par 72

Players must walk during practice rounds.
Electronic Measuring Devices Players may use an approved measuring device during this event.
Push/Pull Carts Push carts are allowed
Caddie Information Caddies are not allowed.
Spectator and Parent Policy Spectator Information: Spectator carts are allowed at a rate of $30 per cart. Spectator carts are restricted to the cart path at all times.
Parent Policy: Due to Covid-19 club rules, only one spectator per player will be allowed at the tournament.  We do ask that all spectators remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a golf ball.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy If you cannot compete in the event, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the CGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to the day of the tournament.  If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you will be suspended from CGA events for 1 year.
Refund Policy: A $20 administrative fee will be charged to all withdrawals.
Prizes Trophies are awarded to the top six players in each division.
